College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario

The College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) is the governing body for medical laboratory technologists in Ontario. The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) oversees the registration practices of the college to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as a medical laboratory technologist in this province.

Fair Registration Practices (FRP) Report, 2009

Registration Practices: As a result of both an internal review and an external audit of registration practices, the CMLTO's registration panels will meet by teleconference to reduce the time needed to make registration decisions and communicate them to applicants. The review and audit each confirmed that the CMLTO is meeting or exceeding established timelines and customer service standards.

CMLTO The OFC does not assess credentials, handle complaints or intervene in particular cases. Our mandate is one of systemic change. Please contact the CMLTO for further information about your ability to practise as a medical laboratory technologist in Ontario.
